I’m your host, Nat Mallia and I’m very excited and honoured to take you through the very same steps that helped me to move through my vision loss journey and come through the other end not just with restored eyesight, but more importantly, strong emotional wellbeing.
Yep that’s right, just before I had that shift that allowed my specialist to do surgery and allow me to see again, after years of low vision and needing a blind cane, I had this moment of clarity where I realised it was more important for me to have strong mental health than what it was for me to get my eyesight back.
I was praying to the Black Madonna in Montreat in Spain in 2018, when my dad was taking me on a trip to see the world one last time. Climbing the many stairs up to the sacred statue, and even in the weeks leading up to the visit, I really thought I was going to pray for my eyesight back. But as I stood there, baring my heart and soul and deepest wishes to the Black Madonna, I found myself saying ‘Please help me get my mind back’.
In that moment, when I could choose one thing that I wanted in the whole wide world, I had this moment of clarity that it didn’t matter if I got my eyesight back or not, living in this much fear, anxiety and anger was not living.
I knew in that moment, if I could get my emotional wellbeing back, then I could handle being blind or seeing.
That was the moment that my life changed.
Little did I know, it was the moment that would put me on the trajectory to exploring myself and the Buddhist teachings even deeper and lead me to the proclamation that I made when I met His Holiness the Dalai Lama at his residence in India 7 months later.
People believe that you can make a wish when you meet the Dalai Lama and I thought about my wish long and hard. Another opportunity for a wish ... and with such an amazing and peaceful person.... what do I wish for? World peace? That would be the right thing to wish for right? Do I wish for my eyesight back? I don’t need to wish for my mental health back as I sure do have that! I’m feeling great and I’m here in India using a blind cane and getting around perfectly fine... so what to wish for?
I dug deep into my heart and thought about all of the people in the world and realised we have one thing in common, many of us struggle with anxiety, fear, anger, poor health, and all of that leads to a poor quality of life. So what if, instead of wishing for world peace, I make a wish to help them?
So standing with His Holiness, I made the proclamation that if I can do anything in this life time, I would love to help people improve their emotional wellbeing with the gifts of meditation and mindfulness.
ast forward to today, I have my eyesight back, well mostly :), I left my Executive job in the Australian Public Service, left my family and friends, and made my way to the Central Coast to fulfil my dream - to live by the beach, slow down and to become a meditation teacher and change people’s lives.
Over the course of eight weeks, I’m going to take you through the very same strategies, tools and techniques that I not only used during my eyesight journey from 2013-2019, but that I still use each and every day, to ensure I’m living my best life, in fact, I’m not sure I would be able to handle the current hypersensitivity crisis my body has been experiencing over the last 12 months. It truly is life saving.
This program is an East meets West experience - backed by Neuroscience and interweaved by Buddhist philosophy and metaphysics. Our nervous system is a key component to our emotional and physical wellbeing and the Calm Mind Program teaches you how to regulate the key aspects of your nervous system to have you living a healthier and happier life.

Your roadmap to finding calm, clarity & courage in a crisis
When I looked back over my journals during my vision self-healing journey from 2013-2020, there were four key elements that showed up time and time again. When I consistently practiced these four elements, I noticed the biggest healing shifts.
This helped me realise that it wasn’t meditation alone that way the key, it was balancing the stillness with the mood bossting effects of appreciation, letting go with compassion and making sure I actually had fun and laughed.
These are the four elements that make up the CALM Method
Compassion gives you a new lens to look at your life with and helps you make room for the emotions, fears and challenging thoughts.
Appreciation will help you bring hope back to your life. You’ll find the treasure amongst your challenges, you’ll see the rainbow in the storm
Laughter is the cherry on top of the sundae. You’re already feeling better when you eat a sundae, and the cherry is the fun bit that makes you smile. Laughter, creativity, playfulness and fun will relax and regulate your nervous system so you can physically and emotionally be calmer and heal.
Mindfulness is intertwined throughout every session in this program. It’s your gift of being able to Mind Your Mind, that’s going to help you to live a more happy and fulfillng life.

Personal mind-transforming meditation - towards the end of the program, after you’ve done the work and gained the insights, I’ll record your own personalised meditation that you can play each day to reinforce your new way of life. I’ve levelled up my healing this year listening to a meditation which I recorded for myself which connects in with my thoughts, beliefs and even the cells in my body. The meditation will be around 20 minutes and you can play it while you’re awake and doing things during the day, or while you’re waking up or falling asleep. This one is about reprograming your mind, body and soul.
As well as all learning all of these epic mindfulness skills, we’ll also do the energetic work and release past hurts and release the chords so that you can get the full life transformation.

You will be investing in the 6 month Calm Mind Coaching Program, including nine sessions where we will use my Signature CALM Method to help you understand your emotional and / or chronic pain and health challenges and find ways for you to live a more fulfilling, calm and happy life.
The sessions will be as follows:
Session 1: Identifying your main goal for the program (called your North Star) and aligning your goal with your values so that we can ensure you’re getting the best out of the program.
Session 2: is about tuning into your thoughts, getting to know them and learning some mindfulness techniques to diffuse from them.
Session 3: is about finding the Treasure in your journey with the scientifically proven fastest mood booster - Appreciation
Session 4: is about applying Compassion and Acceptance for your journey and your struggles. It may be the present or things from your past that you can really benefit applying these to
Session 5: is about understanding the metaphysics behind your challenges. These can be physical ailments or unwanted behaviours / habits. Metaphysics is tuning in with the mind / body - how our thoughts and memories can cause our physical or behavioural problems I use a mix of researched theory and my intuition to tune into what your body is trying to tell you
Session 6: is Forgiveness with the best and most effective Forgiveness Protocol you’ll ever see - to help release the bond between you and those who are causing you the most heartache so that you can move forward and feel free!
Session 7: is about bringing laughter and creativity into your life to help regulate and soothe your nervous system. The nervous system is such a crucial part of our healing process and a measure of our resilience.
Session 8 s a deep dive session where you get to find out more about the reason you’ve joined this program. Through a guided meditation, you will have an opportunity to connect with the emotion or physical ailment that’s concerning you the most. Using NLP techniques, we will go back to the root cause memory when this limiting belief was first triggered and learn what insights that time has for you. We’ll also do the energetic work and release past hurts and cut the chords so that you can get the full life transformation.
Session 9: is about setting up your North Star and Stepping Stars. We review the previous sessions, check in on any areas you want to discuss again and then ensure you have a North Star. Your sense of purpose and direction to move forward during this challenging time.
After each session there will be some activities for you to do at home, these will help you gain a better understanding of your mind and your body. By doing these activities you will gain the most from the program.

My sessions are 90 minutes because I believe that health and wellness coaching is amplified when we connect with each other and talk. I don’t follow the same quick fix, short and sharp sessions unless you request me to. By working this way all of my clients become my friends and this level of trust and support empowers you to grow even stronger.
